MUKAH: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDN) Sarawak encourages the public to seize the opportunities during the Rahmah Sales Programme (PJR).
Its director, Matthew Dominic Barin, said the public need to plan their household purchases wisely and save from the given offers.
“PJR is organised to offer daily necessities to the community at affordable prices.
“It also helps revive the economy and, at the same time, eases the cost of living for the people in challenging situations.
“Savings of 10 to 30 per cent on the prices of essential goods undoubtedly benefit the people, so take advantage of this opportunity during PJR to purchase items,” he said while inspecting PJR at 101 Superman Speedmart Sdn Bhd here yesterday (Nov 15).
Elaborating further, he said PJR in Mukah is organised in collaboration with 101 Superman Speedmart Sdn. Bhd.
He clarified that the PJR lasted for two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, starting from 10am until 4pm.
He revealed that PJR has been expanded by introducing PJR Ayam, categorised as one of the daily necessities.
“This programme is implemented on-premises only, in collaboration with retailers, to ease the burden of the people’s cost of living following the floating of chicken prices on Nov 1.
“In Mukah, 101 Superman Speedmart Sdn. Bhd. is chosen to carry out this programme on Friday (Nov 17) starting from 9am until 1pm.”
At the same time, he reminded that KPDN Enforcement Officers and Price Monitoring Officers throughout Sarawak will continue to conduct monitoring and inspections.
Additionally, he stated that this is to ensure a stable and sufficient supply to meet the needs of the public.
