KUCHING: The Keadilan Political Bureau has accepted the decision of the Central Election Committee (JPP) not to hold the election in Julau branch again.
According to a media statement from the Keadilan Communication Director Fahmi Fadzil, the Keadilan Political Bureau also agreed to the JPP’s decision not to hold the election in Tawau branch in Sabah again. He said the Keadilan Political Bureau held a meeting yesterday and the Keadilan election issue was among the topic discussed.
“At the same time, the party will give full cooperation to any enforcement agencies including the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), in their investigations on the issue.
“The Keadilan Political Bureau has also instructed the JPP to settle the doubtful votes from the related branches by inviting both election candidates to supervise the process,” he said.
Fahmi added the Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK), Women and Central Congress would be held from November 16 to18, as announced.
Meanwhile, commenting on the ‘lost votes’ issue raised by Akmal Nasir at a press conference yesterday, Fahmi said that the Keadilan Political Bureau had instructed Baker Tilly Company to confirm the integrity of the election system and to investigate and provide the feedback on the matter.
“The party will also announce an audit company as soon as possible to conduct a free audit on the whole election process,” he said.
