KUCHING: The Kuching Division Journalists Association (KDJA) will be hosting its annual Chinese New Year Media Banquet on Friday, February 28.

KDJA organising chairman Johnlister Chan Sze Chieh said the event aims to bring media professionals together to celebrate the festive season while fostering stronger connections and networking among members.

This year’s banquet, themed “Year of the Snake Media ” will take place at New City Restaurant and Ballroom, Theatre Hotel here starting at 6.30 pm.

“The evening will feature a sumptuous banquet, exciting entertainment, and a warm gathering of media friends.

“I expressed gratitude to Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd for its continuous support and sponsorship over the years,” he said this in his statement.

Additionally, he said the event will be graced by the presence of Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.

“The banquet has also received strong support from various elected representatives, community leaders, and corporate sponsors.

“I would like to remind all registered media members to attend punctually, as the banquet will be a served-course dinner rather than a buffet.

“Your cooperation is much appreciated to ensure a smooth event,” he added.

KDJA looks forward to celebrating this special evening together and welcoming a prosperous new year.
