SARIKEI: Kapitan Ling Dien Yong, representing Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, visited the project site at San Nguong Sia Temple on the morning of December 9, accompanied by the Sarikei Service Centre team.

The visit aimed to inspect the progress of the 2024 Rural Transformation Project (RTP), which involves the construction of a wooden jetty at the temple. With a total cost of RM50,000, the project is expected to provide greater convenience to devotees and visitors who frequently use the temple grounds.

The devotees of San Nguong Sia Temple expressed their gratitude for Huang’s efforts in prioritising the welfare of rural communities. Infrastructure upgrades like this are considered well-aligned with local needs, further strengthening the connection between leaders and the community.

Also present during the visit were the Chairman of the Sarikei District Council, Councillor Wong Zee Yeng, and the Assistant Engineer of the Sarikei District Council, Joviana Joklin.
