DALAT: Kampung Sungai Kut will change its facade for the better with the development brought by the government.
Minister of Women, Children and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said many construction projects had been planned in this area.
“With these projects, of course they can be an attraction for tourists who visit here. Because of that, many projects are organised in this area to help the tourism sector,” she said.
She said this when speaking at the Closing Ceremony of the Kut Kanal Festival and the official opening of the Sungai Kut Muara Fort, here, today.
Fatimah, who is also the Dalat assemblywoman, also said that cooperation was very important in turning this area as a tourist attraction.
She explained that, with close cooperation, many things could be implemented together for the comfort of the public.
In the meantime, Fatimah also presented the Minor Rural Project (MRP) of the Sarawak House Improvement Project for the Poor (PPRMS) Phase 2 of 2024.
A total of 37 houses received the PPRMS rural project fund with a total of RM514,000.
