SARATOK: Kalaka assemblyman Mohamad Duri has reminded all teams competing in the upcoming Krian Regatta 2024 to demonstrate that the event can foster unity through water sports.

He stressed the importance of maintaining harmony among participants, urging teams to avoid any undesirable incidents during the competition.

“Saratok has a long-standing tradition of organising boat racing regattas, and we have consistently been praised for our well-organised events in the past,” he said.

党This year, we hope the same. I trust that the organisers will ensure a smooth regatta, and for the competing teams, I encourage everyone to uphold professionalism and maintain the spirit of unity among water sports enthusiasts,・he told Suara Sarawak yesterday.

Earlier, Mohamad, represented by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Kalaka Branch secretary Gapor Ahmad, handed over donations to 10 team representatives from the Kalaka constituency who will participate in the 2024 Krian Regatta.

“Through the service centre, we contributed RM800 to each team to cover food and drink expenses. We hope it will be fully utilised,” he said.
