KUCHING: Join the game-changers of the tech industry at the She-Tech Asia Forum 2023, scheduled to be held on Oct 3.
The forum is an inaugural event co-located with the 27th World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) and the 6th International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak (IDECS) 2023, which is organised by the Sarawak government and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC).
It will focus on women’s representation in the technology industry and aims to address the gender imbalance within the industry and empowering more women’s participation in technology.
Key speakers to look forward to at the forum include Emma Yang, founder of Timeless and Tiffany Pham, founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Mogul.
Emma is a junior at Harvard University from New York City, a three-time Carnegie Hall performer, TEDx speaker, MIT Solver, and the founder of Timeless, a startup that empowers Alzheimer’s patients to stay engaged and connected to their loved ones.
She is passionate about technology, computer science, languages and music. A frequent panelist and keynote speaker at national and international forums, Emma advocates for women and girls in STEM and for empowering the elderly community, a population that is underserved by technology.
Meanwhile, Tiffany is recognised as one of the leaders of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) movement. She developed the first version of Mogul, the world’s leading diversity recruitment company and whose patent-pending software technology now enables recruitment access to over 500 million women, minorities, veterans and people with disabilities across 195 countries.
Referred to as a ‘Triple Threat’ by the Wall Street Journal, Tiffany was named to Forbes’ ‘30 Under 30’ in Media, Business Insider’s ‘30 Most Important Women Under 30’ in Technology, ELLE Magazine’s ‘30 Women Under 30 Who Are Changing the World’, Entrepreneur Magazine’s ‘100 Most Powerful Women’, Inc. Magazine’s ‘Top 100 Female Founders’, and Crain’s Magazine ‘40 Under 40’ by Crain’s Magazine.
She is the author of ‘From Business Strategy to IT Roadmap: A Guide for Executives & Board Members,” the instant Wall Street Journal bestselling book ‘You Are A Mogul’ and ‘Girl Mogul’.
Prior to Mogul, she was a business executive in technology and finance, and worked across CBS, HBO, Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs. She is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Yale, with Distinction.
