BINTULU: Jepak assemblyman, Iskandar Turkee, recently attended a meeting with the Sarawak Digital Economy Development Corporation (SDEC) in Kuching to discuss efforts to expand internet coverage through the Starlink Programme in the Jepak constituency.

The meeting chaired by SDEC chairman, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Moshidi Abdul Ghani, was also attended by SDEC managing director, Datuk Sudarnoto Osman.

During the meeting, Iskandar emphasised the importance of the initiative in increasing internet access in the rural and interior areas of Jepak constituency, as one of the important steps in advancing digital development.

He said the main focus of the meeting was to detail the technology requirements and programme implementation strategy, especially in areas that still face internet access problems.

Iskandar hopes that the results of this meeting can expedite the provision of the necessary infrastructure besides bridging the digital gap and improving the living standards of the constituents.
