KUCHING: A total of 300 plastic containers of bubur lambuk were distributed to the residents of Kpg Bukit Pancur here on Sunday.
Organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Damai, in collaboration with Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang, the initiative served as a meaningful opportunity to celebrate and learn about the rich cultural diversity in the state, with JCI members joining the residents to prepare the bubur lambuk together.
“Bubur Lambuk holds significant cultural and religious meaning, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Traditionally, it is offered to needy families as a symbol of goodwill and compassion.
“This event embodies the true spirit of Ramadan, with a focus on giving back to the less fortunate and spreading kindness,” JCI said.
JCI is a global organisation dedicated to developing the leadership potential of young active citizens aged 18 to 40.
JCI’s vision is to provide opportunities for leadership development and empower young people to create positive change in their communities.
