KUCHING: The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malaysia, Sarawak has been lauded by Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang for its initiative in developing youth leaders.
He said the activities organised by the association has been impactful and contributed to the community.
“Over the past few years, I have been a dedicated supporter of JCI, and I have witnessed the impactful projects they have carried out, including those by JCI Damai,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Jan 14).
JCI, represented by youth leaders and members from across the region paid an official visit to Lo at Pusat Khidmat Batu Kitang on Sunday (Jan 12).
Present was JCI Malaysia national executive vice-president cum Sarawak chairman Tan Chin Jie.
Among the matters discussed during the visit were on community development initiatives, youth empowerment and the critical role young leaders play in driving progress and fostering positive change within Sarawak.
During the visit, Tan also discussed honouring past leaders and celebrating current leaders who have been nurtured through JCI and continue to serve the community with passion.
He highlighted the impactful projects accomplished by local organisations, which serve as a testament to the power of collaboration. Additionally, the Sarawak Plan of Actions and Events for 2025 was unveiled, paving the way for an impactful year ahead.
