KUCHING: Residents of Kampung Tudan Desaras in Miri are looking forward to the installation of water pipes at the village by the Rural Water Supply Department or Jabatan Bekalan Air Luar Bandar (JBALB) within six months.

State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato’ Sebastian Ting went to the village yesterday afternoon to give the good news to the people there.

Ting was joined by Fadil, an officer of JBALB who briefed the village folks and they both assured about the pipe installation which was certainly good news for them all.

The Piasau rep said he had written a letter to the late Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem to apply for special funding for this project under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).

In fact the late Chief Minister had already approved the application and he (Ting) had also written another letter to the present Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari to inform him of the approval by his late predecessor.
