KUCHING: The portion from Jalan Tun Jugah up to the BDC roundabout will be temporarily closed for maintenance.
The Public Works Department (JKR) stated that the maintenance work and temporary closure would begin on Sept 3 to 17 from 8pm to 5am.
“The road diversions or closures will only be done during the maintenance work carried out at the site to provide space for heavy machinery.
“However, the road will be opened as soon as possible if the maintenance work can be completed early to facilitate the movement of traffic.
“We would like to remind the public to follow the safety signs provided before and around the affected areas.
“They are also reminded to cooperate and follow the instructions by the route guards to facilitate the movement of traffic,” it said on Thursday (Sept 2).
JKR noted that it would inform of any changes of date, time or area involving the maintenance work.
“Road users are advised to plan their journey carefully from time to time throughout the duration of the maintenance work.
“If they are any complaints or inquiries related to the traffic flow in the area, contact Kuching JKR at 016-8885761 or DAL HCM at 011-51620097 during office hours.”
