KUCHING: Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang has been awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (PMW) which carries the title ‘Datuk’.
The award was conferred by Yang Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in conjunction with the 2022 Federal Territory Day celebration on Tuesday (Feb 8).
Rubiah, is also the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation chairman, was among the 59 recipients who received the same award at a ceremony held at Istana Negara.
The Kota Samarahan Parliamentary Service Centre in a e-poster on its Facebook page congratulated Rubiah on the conferment.
“Once again, congratulations to Datuk Rubiah Wang. Hopefully this award can motivate us all to provide the best service to the citizens of Kota Samarahan.
“At the same time, remain committed in carrying out the trust and responsibilities that have been entrusted,” it said.
