KUCHING: The Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) is set to bring festive cheer with the launch of its ‘Merry Dinner and Celebration Buffet’, offering a culinary journey through the season’s most delightful flavours.
According to the chief executive officer Eric van Piggelen the event is to celebrate the joy of sharing during this festive period.
“We strive to create a memorable dining experience which brings people together.
“This year, we are proud to offer menus embodying the festive spirit, blending local and international flavours, and at one of Kuching’s most reasonable festive buffet prices.
“It is our way of getting families from all backgrounds to come together to celebrate the festive season here with BCCK,” he said.
Executive sous chef Eric Lim and his team have crafted a festive menu blending classic holiday favourites with a local flair.
The menu features dishes like beef stroganoff with a selection of mushrooms, fried salted egg prawns, and whole roasted lamb with black pepper and garlic sauce.
Live cooking stations will feature various cuisines, such as Yasai tempura and smoked duck noodles from the Japanese stall, Korean fried chicken and smoked duck noodles from the Korean stall, and Middle Eastern cuisine.
No holiday meal is complete without dessert, and diners can look forward to a sweet finale featuring Christmas fruit cake, apple pie, tiramisu, black forest trifle, and the spiced South African milk tart — a perfect ending to a festive feast.
Furthermore, BCCK’s Isthmus Christmas goodies takeaways offers festive favourites like roasted chicken with chestnut and mushroom (RM110), salmon Wellington (RM350), and Christmas pastries, including stollen (RM40) and yule log “stump” (RM70), available for pre-order one day in advance and pickup at The Raintree Restaurant from Dec 14 to 29, 11 am to 6 pm.
The dinner buffet on Christmas Eve is priced at RM120+ per adult and RM60+ per child for online bookings, with walk-in prices set at RM140+ per adult and RM60+ per child.
The celebration buffet on New Year’s Eve, Dec 31, follows the same pricing structure.
