KUCHING: Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang, has been reappointed as the Deputy Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).
The swearing-in ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Main Audience Chamber, Astana Negeri, before the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
The event began with the presentation of the letter of appointment, followed by the swearing-in session as the Deputy Speaker of the DUN, and continued with the signing of the letter of appointment by Idris.
The ceremony was also witnessed by Wan Junaidi’s wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.
Also present at the ceremony were the DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Asfia Awang Nassar; Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah; along with other distinguished guests.
