KUCHING: Leading property developer Ibraco Bhd has reaffirmed its commitment to education through its strategic partnership with HELP Education Group, enhancing access to quality learning at Tunku Putra-HELP School (TPHS) within The NorthBank township.
Established in January 2020, this collaboration underscores Ibraco’s vision of integrating world-class institutions into its premier developments.
Group managing director Datuk Chew Chiaw Han noted the company’s dedication to community-building beyond real estate.
“Ibraco is dedicated to building more than just homes; we are here to create thriving communities.
“Our partnership with HELP is a testament to our commitment to provide a holistic living environment where education, sustainability, and community development come together,” he said.
The NorthBank is designed as a modern, self-sustaining township incorporating residential, commercial, medical and educational components, offering families a secure and future-ready environment.
TPHS provides both national and international curricula from kindergarten to A Level, incorporating the British Education Curriculum with IGCSE and Cambridge International Examinations, alongside Malaysia’s KSSR and KSSM.
Mathematics and science are further enhanced with Singaporean and British syllabi, fostering higher-order thinking and 21st-century skills.
Beyond academics, TPHS encourages students to participate in transformative initiatives such as The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, which promotes leadership, fitness and social responsibility.
This year, Ibraco is supporting TPHS students representing Sarawak and Malaysia in the International Creativity and Innovation Award (ICIA 2025) in Vietnam, providing them with a global platform to showcase technological advancements and problem-solving skills.
Group Co-CEO of HELP Education Group, Dr Gerard D. Louis, stressed the importance of the collaboration.
“At TPHS, we believe education is the foundation of strong communities.
“Through our partnership with Ibraco, we can continue to provide transformative learning experiences that prepare students for the future while instilling a strong sense of social responsibility,” he said.
Over the next five years, Ibraco and TPHS will focus on advancing academic excellence, strengthening community engagement, enhancing school facilities, and integrating technology and sustainability-focused learning.
Their initiatives align with Sarawak’s digitalisation and innovation agenda, ensuring long-term benefits for the region.
TPHS also contributes to teacher training through HELP University’s Yayasan programme, elevating educational standards.
Additionally, Ibraco supports key government infrastructure projects, including the Kuching Urban Transportation System, reinforcing its commitment to Sarawak’s development.
By prioritising sustainability, education and community growth, Ibraco and TPHS are shaping a brighter future for Sarawak’s next generations.
