KUCHING: Hope FC’s player-manager, Bryan Cheong, believes the team’s chances are strong as long as they stick to their style of play.

Currently sitting 7th in the Liga Bandaraya, they are eager to climb the table with a win in their upcoming match.

A victory could propel them into 5th place, and Cheong is confident his team can continue their recent winning streak.

After securing two consecutive victories, he feels optimistic heading into the next fixture, against Opc FC today at 7.45PM in Field C, Petra Jaya.

“I think our chances are always very good if we play our own game.

“We head into every game with confidence and trust in all our teammates to produce, and this game is no different,” Cheong said when contacted by Sarawak Tribune.

While the squad remains focused, there may be some tactical changes depending on the availability and form of certain players.

“There might be some tactical switches. This is due to the availability and form of certain players,” he explained.

Despite a few key players missing due to the holiday season and injuries, Cheong remains optimistic about the squad’s readiness.

“The squad’s great. A few members are missing due to the Christmas break and holidays, as well as some injuries, but we are ready to go,” he added.

Hope FC will be looking to build on their recent momentum and take a step closer to the top half of the Liga Bandaraya standings.
