KUCHING: The Ramadan bazaar in Sarawak is allowed to operate during the fasting month from April 12 to May 12.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said however, the operations of the bazaar must be in accordance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government.
“Before starting operation, these premises are required to obtain approval from the Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC).
“All employees and operators must have undergone a swab test for rT-PCR, with negative result of Covid-19, prior to commencing operations,” it said yesterday.
SDMC also said periodic inspections would be carried out to ensure that the SOPs are always complied with.
The SOPs can be obtained from the website of the state Ministry of Local Government and Housing (MLGH) at http://mlgh.sarawak.gov.my.
