KUCHING: Heavy rain caused soil erosion behind a house at Kampung Sinar Baru, Jalan Puncak Borneo yesterday (Apr 3).
In a statement, Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuching, Major Wan Khairul Zakwan Wan Tajudden said they received an emergency call at around 11.30 am regarding the incident. A four-member team was despatched to the scene to investigate.
According to the tenants, the erosion occurred at the car porch area at around 5 am, and it was due to the heavy rain on Sunday night. Fortunately, no structural damages or injuries were reported.
The tenants were advised to take precautionary measures in case of a similar occurrence.
