BINTULU: The Sarawak government always welcomes the efforts of schools and any parties in ensuring that the physical health of students is well taken care of.

According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Datuk Majang Renggi, said besides physical health, mental health is also important for school students.

“Therefore, we cannot take it lightly or treat mental disorders as a small matter.

“We also cannot think that mental problems only involve adults or the elderly, it even involves children and teenagers.

“Even emotional disorders among children and teenagers in this country have shown an alarming increase.

“If action is not taken at an early stage, it will be the cause of bad things that may be difficult to treat or recover and can be fatal,” he said in his speech when officiating at the launch of Laman Minda Sihat at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kidurong, recently.
