KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today (Apr 13).
The minister’s delegation also included Deputy Health Minister II Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Health Ministry secretary-general Datuk Mohd Shafiq Abdullah, and deputy director-general of Health (Public Health) Datuk Dr Chong Chee Kheong.
During the visit they discussed several medical and health-related matters, especially the pandemic.
Abang Johari also received another visitor, the chairman of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) board of directors Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Sulong Matjeraie.
They came to present Abang Johari’s letter of appointment as Unimas pro-chancellor for a period of three years starting March 15 last year to March 14, 2023 under the First Schedule, Section 8 (1) of the Constitution, Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 (Amendments 2009 and 2012).
Also present was Deputy State Secretary (Performance and Service Delivery Transformation) Datuk Dr Sabariah Putit, who is also Unimas board member; Unimas vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi and Unimas registrar Azlan Ramli.
