KUCHING: After a month-long break for Ramadan, Gunto FC is back in action, focusing on strengthening team chemistry and refining gameplay ahead of the Bandaraya League.
Club manager Arif Roslan expressed his satisfaction with the team’s progress, praising the players’ dedication and the support from parents who attended training sessions to observe and analyse the squad’s capabilities.
“The spirit shown by the players in achieving realistic goals based on their performance is truly impressive.
“Not only the players but also the parents have been actively involved, watching our training and assessing how far the team can progress toward success,” said Arif.
He noted that team chemistry is gradually improving after the fasting break, with training sessions now centred on enhancing the attack, solidifying midfield strategies, and strengthening the defence.
As the Bandaraya League approaches, he told Sarawak Tribune when contacted on Saturday that the team is also refining fundamental skills such as passing, long-range deliveries, and overall gameplay coordination to ensure better understanding among players.
“Training session has been focused on sharpening the attack, refining midfield tactics, and tightening the defence as the Bandaraya League approaches,” he said.
With renewed energy and determination, Gunto FC is set to compete at their best when the league kicks off.
Recently, the club had a friendly match versus Pisica Fc which Gunto FC won 4-3.
