KUCHING: Take note! If you are in a group of more than two individuals, you are prohibited from gathering in public areas without a reasonable excuse during the extended movement control order (MCO) period which runs until June 14.
This is among the latest standard operating procedures (SOPs) released by the National Security Council (NSC) last night (May 31).
The SOP also states that only two representatives per household are allowed to go out to perform any official duties; provide essential services; seek healthcare or medical services; purchase food supplies, daily necessities, medication and dietary supplement not exceeding a radius of 10km from their place of residence; and to take Covid-19 jabs.
The number people, including drivers, travelling in private vehicles is limited to two only. However, if it is for the purpose of seeking healthcare, medication, security or emergency services, three people are allowed.
In addition, movement between districts is prohibited except for essential services, and people with a police permit or a letter from their employers.
High-risk individuals are discouraged from leaving home while children aged 12 and below are not allowed to be in public and crowded areas without valid reasons.
Other SOPs include the operation of permitted economic or industrial sectors and other activities that are allowed to operate from 6am to 8pm only.
And individuals are not permitted to be in public areas from 10pm to 5am without a valid reason.
Meanwhile, for Bintulu, Tatau and Sebauh districts, individuals are not allowed to be in public areas from 8pm to 5am without valid reasons.
