KUCHING: A girl with disabilities (OKU)  was feared drowned in Kabong, Saratok, yesterday.

A spokesperson from Saratok Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that they received a phone call regarding the victim’s disappearance at 10.15pm on Sunday, from the victim’s brother.

The victim’s father, Iman, was worried as the ten-year-old victim, Nur Syahadah Fatihah, an OKU,  was not back home until night time, and instructed the brother, Nazri together with his sister Ana, to look for her.

They came across the victim’s belongings, including slippers and fishing equipment at the Pengkalan Perahu Tambang bridge but the victim was nowhere to be seen.

The victim was believed to have fallen into the water and the rescue operation is still ongoing using “Water Surface Searching”.
