KUCHING: The holiday season at tHe Spring shopping mall took on a magical glow Saturday night as The Band Lab presented “A Frozen Christmas,” a festive concert that captivated a diverse crowd.

Starting at 8.30 pm, the South Court in the mall buzzed with anticipation as families and friends gathered for the performance.

“This concert is our way of expressing gratitude to the community for their unwavering support,” said Jesmond Siew, founder and president of The Band Lab to Sarawak Tribune.

“We believe in a mutually beneficial relationship – we perform for them and they support us by attending our shows.”

Seven musicians from Sibu, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang joined the local talent pool for the evening.

The concert was a sensory delight, featuring a medley of Christmas classics, beloved Disney tunes from “Frozen” and “Aladdin,” and a spirited rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

With 75 performers on stage, the excitement was palpable.

Children danced and sang along, their eyes wide with wonder.

Spectators eagerly captured the magic on their phones, ensuring the memories would last.

Siew expressed his appreciation to all who contributed to the event’s success.

“We are grateful to our Band Lab performers, Aorchestra, Voces Felicium choir group, Century Music School, Prodigy Music School, UNIMAS, and tHe Spring shopping mall.”

Looking ahead, The Band Lab promises an exciting 2025.

“We have some incredible plans in the works,” Siew hinted, mentioning a larger-scale anime concert, a Bridgerton-inspired string quartet recital, and a Disney flash mob.
