Friends in Concert promises afternoon of unforgettable music

KUCHING: The stage is set for an unforgettable afternoon of music with the Friends in Concert 2025 bringing together a vibrant mix of musical talents from Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore here on April 13.

The concert organised by the Kuching Wind Symphony, will be held at the Chung Hua Middle School No. 3 Hall at 2 pm.

Featured in the lineup are the Kuching Wind Symphony, St. Joseph’s Private School Concert Band, St. Teresa’s School Concert Band and the St. Joseph’s School Marching Band. 

These ensembles, each with their own unique style and flair, are set to deliver a wide-ranging musical showcase that reflects the spirit of collaboration and unity.

Conductor, Wilson JL Tan, will lead the overall performance, along with guest conductors Apivut Minalai from Thailand and Tan Soh Hwa from Singapore. 

Also featured is guest artist Piyapat Wichai, whose performance is anticipated to be one of the highlights of the afternoon.

The concert is a platform for young musicians to engage across borders and share in a common passion for the performing arts.

Tickets are priced at RM60 and are available for purchase online through the organisers’ official page. 

The public is encouraged to secure their seats early.
