MUKAH: Four workers were left homeless after their block of quarters was destroyed by fire in the wee hours of today.

Firemen from the Mukah fire station were promptly deployed to the scene at Bayan Tasik, Jalan Mukah-Balingian after they were alerted by the Balingian police station at 2.25am.

The fire was still raging when the firefighters arrived at the scene.

The block of workers’ quarters, a car and a container which doubled as an office were destroyed.

No injuries or casualties were reported.

The cause of the fire which was put out by 3.50am and the losses are under investigation.
