TENNESSEE: Bob Bryar, the former drummer of the emo band My Chemical Romance, has passed away at the age of 44.
Authorities discovered his body at his home in Tennessee on Tuesday, after he was last seen alive on November 4.
According to TMZ, Law enforcement officials report no evidence of foul play, noting that Bryar’s belongings, including weapons and musical equipment, were untouched.
The body, described as being in an advanced state of decomposition, was discovered alongside two dogs, which were subsequently taken into care by Animal Control. The cause and manner of his death are currently under investigation by the medical examiner.
Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004 after the release of their breakthrough album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, replacing original drummer Matt Pelissier. He played a pivotal role in the band’s rise to fame, contributing to their 2006 landmark album The Black Parade and their 2010 release Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Bryar also featured on the band’s Conventional Weapons compilation.
His tenure with My Chemical Romance spanned a decade, from 2004 to 2014, during which he toured extensively and became a vital part of the group’s success.
