BINTULU: Jepak assemblyman Iskandar Turkee has announced plans to establish a special committee aimed at enhancing the implementation of the Minor Rural Projects (MRP), Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), and Sarawak Poor House Improvement Programme (PPRMS) in his constituency.

Iskandar emphasised the committee’s role in ensuring equitable distribution of project benefits across villages, longhouses, and NGOs within the constituency and project allocations will be determined by the committee rather than by his sole discretion.

“I will do my best and be fair to all,” he said in an event organised by the Bintulu Ummah Funeral Management Organisation (PJJUB) at a hotel here recently.

Following his recent victory in the Jepak by-election on Nov 4, Iskandar pledged to continue providing top-notch service.

Also present were PPJUB chairman Datuk Abdul Kadier Sahib and Bintulu Islamic Welfare Trust Board (LAKIB) deputy chairman Datuk Mohidin Ishak.
