SRI AMAN: An Indonesian driver sustained injuries following an accident along Jalan Betong-Sri Aman yesterday (May 5).
The accident happened around 6.25 pm when the Toyota Avanza driven by the victim, veered out of control and crashed into a ditch.
Firefighters from Sri Aman station were rushed to the scene near the Batu Lintang junction after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, they found that the driver had been rescued out of the vehicle by members of the public.
The 45-year-old man was later handed over to paramedics for on-site treatment before being taken to the hospital for further medical attention. The extent of his injuries was not known.
