Villagers helping to unload the food supply from the helicopter after it lands at Long Sobeng, Tinjar Baram.

MIRI: Some 200 people from 42 households in Long Sobeng, 45 pupils and 17 teachers and staff of SK Long Sobeng in Tinjar, Baram, who were cuf off by floods, received emergency food supply yesterday

The food supply was airlifted by a helicopter belonging to the Miri Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) air unit.

The flight departed the Miri Bomba air base at 3.00pm and arrived in Long Sobeng at 3.45pm.

Also on board the flight were Telang Usan State Assemblyman Dennis Ngau and Councillor Jarau Braim, besides Miri Bomba and Miri Welfare Department personnel.
