SELANGAU: Schools in the Tamin constituency affected by the recent floods will receive the necessary assistance to ensure education continuity.
Among the schools that suffered significant damage are SK Nanga Kua, SK Nanga Selangau, and SK Kuala Pelugau.
Tamin assemblyman Christopher Gira Sambang mentioned that he has requested immediate help for these schools.
“I have raised the issue of the flood-affected schools in Tamin with the relevant authorities.
“Besides that, I have also consulted with Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, as well as the head of the Selangau Education Office to find a resolution to this matter,” he said.
Gira said the Selangau Education Office has submitted a list of the damaged assets and repair requests for the school buildings to the State Education Department.
