KUCHING: The Sarawak Government will continue providing assistance to the flood evacuees at two Temporary Evacuation Centres (PPS) in Miri which are still in operation.
Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, said the support includes food and health monitoring for the evacuees.
She added that the government has increased the daily food aid allowance to RM50 per person at the PPS.
“We have a dedicated committee at the PPS to monitor health conditions.

“Our team works together to ensure the safety of evacuees, provide meals and focus on their well-being,” she said after officiating at the Sejambak Kasih Aidilfitri 2025 event at Majma Mall here today (March11).
Fatimah also mentioned that activities have been arranged for children at the PPS to keep them engaged and reduce boredom, which in turn helps parents manage their emotions during the evacuation period.
On counseling support for landslide victims, she said the matter should be referred to the Social Welfare Department (JKM) for further action.
