KUCHING: A total of eight chalets are expected to be launched at Tasik Biru Resort City by the end of August, revealed Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.

“There will be four units each of floating and on-ground chalets,” he said when contacted on Saturday (July 17).

He said a contemporary design would be implemented for the chalets, superseding the earlier traditional longhouse design concept.

“The design has just been endorsed and approved by management on Friday afternoon (July 16). Procurement work is in progress now,” he said.

He said this was indeed a challenging and tall order – to complete with testing and commissioning by August 30 – pointing out that it was only a total of 45 days between July 17 and August 30.

“The sequence of construction must be organised and planned well cohesively with the many groups of sub-contractors involved,” said Henry.

He assured that they would try their level best to deliver accordingly on the project.
