KUCHING: Sarawak yesterday registered five new positive Covid-19 cases, bring the tally to 50 cases.
The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said of the five cases, two were recorded at Sarawak General Hospital, two at Sibu Hospital and one at Bintulu Hospital.
A total of 115 persons under investigation (PUIs) were reported yesterday, bringing the total to 655.
The statement also pointed out that 285 cases had tested negative and 320 cases were still awaiting laboratory test results.
Those who had close contact with positive cases are asked to contact the nearest district health office to inform them of their latest health status.
Verification test will only be run on those who had close contact after the assessment made by a medical practitioner.
