MIRI: Enforcement personnel from Miri City Council (MCC) had issued five compound notices to offenders of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) imposed for Phase Three of Sarawak National Recovery Plan (NRP) during an operations carried out on Friday night around the City Centre against business for operating beyond the permitted hours.
A total of 27 council enforcement personnel accompanied by police personnel carried out the operation from 10pm to 12 midnight of which the owners of a cafe and a lounge in the central business district had been compounded.
Meanwhile, another three compound notices were issued to individuals at Taman Jelita who were found taking their food and drinks in food premises after the permitted business operating hours.
The operations was carried out smoothly without any untoward incident.
Miri City Council’s Enforcement Unit will continue its monitoring exercise and spot-check so as to ensure compliance of SOPs imposed under the current Phase 3 of NRP.
