SIBU: Six residents, including three boys, a girl and an adult, survived a fire which razed their double storey semi-detached house in Ulu Sungai Merah here yesterday.
The State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre received an emergency call at 2.33pm and despatched six firemen from Sungai Merah Fire Station to the scene.
The fire, which broke out in the bedroom, was extinguished by the firemen.
About 30 percent of the house was destroyed by fire but no injuries or fatalities were reported.
The operation, led by PBT Mohd Shukri Ab Rahim, ended at 3.20pm.
