SERIAN: A seafood restaurant at Jalan Serian By-Pass was nearly burned down in the wee hours today.
The incident happened around 2.48 am and firemen from Serian fire station were promptly deployed to the scene, about 1.7km from the station.
After arriving, the firemen proceeded to put out the blaze.
The flames only caused about seven per cent damages to some kitchen utensils and chairs in the premises.
No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
