KUCHING: The Sarawak Consumer Action Council (MTPN) has donated 60 food baskets to The Salvation Army Community Complex in Kota Samarahan on Saturday.

As part of their Christmas celebrations and a heartfelt gesture of care for the community in need, the donation was led by the MTPN Sarawak president Wynson Ong, along with MTPN Sarawak members, including Bernard, Sung, Jeff, Connie, Michelle, Cyndi, Amalina, Syazmeen, Siti, and Zafirah.

In a press statement issued by MTPN today (Dec 21), it was noted that MTPN Sarawak also received a sponsorship of decorative cakes from Patisserie Sdn Bhd, adding a festive touch to their initiative.

“This generous sponsorship symbolises the spirit of cooperation and support from the private sector in strengthening efforts to assist the community.

“This contribution is part of MTPN Sarawak’s ongoing efforts to support the local community and ensure that the joy and warmth of the festive season are shared by everyone, regardless of their circumstances.

“We hope this donation brings joy and comfort to the recipients and serves as an inspiration for more organisations and individuals to contribute towards helping those in need,” it added.

For the record, MTPN Sarawak remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering communities, fostering a sense of unity, and promoting inclusivity, especially during the festive season when compassion and togetherness take centre stage.

Present to hand over the donation were representatives from MTPN headquarters (HQ) Masrudi and Ririn, who extended their support and helped hand over the donations to The Salvation Army.
