SRI AMAN: An 11-year-old boy tragically lost his life in a car crash along Jalan Sri Aman-Serian yesterday (Apr 6), while three others, including a baby boy, sustained serious injuries.
The accident happened at 5.30pm when the Perodua Viva carrying six individuals skidded and crashed to the roadside. Two of whom managed to escape the crash with light injuries.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that firefighters from Sri Aman station were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon assessment, paramedics pronounced the 11-year-old boy dead at the scene, and his remains were handed over to the police for further procedures.
Meanwhile, a man, a woman, and a baby boy, all critically injured, were rushed to Sri Aman Hospital in two ambulances for immediate treatment.
The team only administered preliminary treatment to the remaining two lightly injured victims at the scene.
Both are later taken to the hospital for further medical attention.
