KUCHING: KFC Malaysia will be holding its first-ever open bidding for its limited edition KFC Original Plate (the literal one) on Feb 25 from 11am to 11pm on the KFC Facebook page.

The bid opens at RM11 and participants can enter the bidding with a minimum bid increase of RM1.

The highest bidder will be deemed as the winner with 100 percent profit going towards KFC Add Hope Malaysia, a global initiative to end world hunger.

“The plate design features ‘KFC 11’ mimicking the car registration plate number and at the same time represents the brand’s iconic 11 secret herbs and spices.

“The highest bidder will be the sole owner of the plate in which only a single unit is available in the entire world, with all proceeds going towards a good cause,” said KFC Malaysia deputy general manager marketing Evelyn Ng.

“We want you to know that we share your love for KFC and we’re pleased to increase the excitement with our very own KFC Original Plate up for bid.”

KFC has established many community empowerment programmes to give back to the community.

The Add Hope Malaysia initiative strives to feed people who would otherwise be faced with the possibility of not having anything to eat.

Funds are generated via donation boxes across KFC outlets nationwide that directly support local hunger initiatives via Add Hope Distribution Programme and collaboration programmes with NGOs besides supporting the needs of United Nation World Food Programme’s food relief programmes in the least developed nations around the world.
