SIBU: An accident involving a four-wheel drive (4WD) occurred when its driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a bush at Jalan Bintulu-Sibu on Dec 21.
The State Fire and Rescue Department’s (Bomba) operation centre received an accident report at about 10pm that day.
A family of four was in the vehicle; one was trapped while the remaining three were assisted by passersby.
Upon arrival, Bomba personnel used special tools to free the trapped victim.
The victims were Ajon Langit, 42; Nora Daru, 36; Erneastien Maverick Ajon, 12; and Efiefei Middleshields Liwan Ajon, eight.
All four were brought to the hospital for further treatment.
