SERIAN: The late Able Seaman I JJM Joanna Felicia Rohna will be laid to rest in Kampung Engkaroh, Tebakang. Her funeral is scheduled to be held tomorrow (April 25) at 9.00am.

A spokesman for the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) said Joanna’s remains was scheduled to arrive at Kuching’s Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) air base at 8.15pm today, however it was delayed due to poor weather conditions.

The remains will be transported using a C130 aircraft will which depart from the Subang Air Base.

“Any changes to the schedule will be communicated accordingly. The funeral arrangements for the deceased are still to be confirmed,” he added.

Joanna leaves her husband and two children.

Joanna, who was from Kpg Sumpas Tampek, was one of the 10 casualties in yesterday’s helicopter tragedy involving seven Maritime Operations Helicopter (HOM-AW139) crew members and three RMN Fennec crew members.

The mid-air collision occurred during the rehearsal for the Royal Malaysian Navy’s 90th Anniversary Celebration Parade, which has been cancelled.
