KUCHING: Acting Head of State Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar received a courtesy call from the Minister of Communications and Digital Fahmi Fadzil at Astana Negeri here yesterday.
The courtesy call was intended to present the programme book and inviting Asfia to attend the national-level Malaysia Day 2023 celebration to be held at Stadium Perpaduan Petra Jaya on Sept 16.
Fahmi, who is also the chairman of the Malaysia Day 2023 Steering Committee said that the event is scheduled to start at 7pm with the presence of the public and the official programme will start at 8.30 pm with Asfia’s arrival.
Various activities are in the lineup which include ‘Jualan Rahmah’, food stalls and fireworks display, which is the highlight of the evening.
The celebration will also be broadcasted live on local television stations.
Also in attendance were the Minister of Utility and Telecommunications Datuk Julaihi Narawi; Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis; Deputy Minister of Transport (Aviation and Roads) Datuk Dr Jerip Susil; Deputy Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Rosey Yunus; Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development I Aidel Lariwoo; Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development II Dr Ripin Lamat and the director-general of Information Department Datuk Mohd Sukari Ab Hamid.
