KUALA LUMPUR: The leadership under Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has not only strengthened Sarawak’s standing in the nation but also on the global stage.

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof commended him for the continuous accomplishments he has brought to Sarawak.

“All the great successes that the state has achieved so far would not have been achieved without the political stability, unity and racial harmony.

“Due to the political stability and unity being the basis of our strength in Sarawak, we have recorded success after success in demanding the rights of Sarawak, and subsequently succeeded in building a more powerful Sarawak economy,” he said.

He said this during the Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak 2023 dinner held in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of Sarawak’s Independence at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) here last night (Oct 21).

Meanwhile, touching on the event here, Fadillah said that it is not just a gathering for Sarawakians to ‘berambeh’ but also a symbol of togetherness, harmony, and love among the people of Sarawak.
