Fadillah among over 3,000 guests at Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri

KUCHING: Over 3,000 guests, including members of the public attended the Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri event at the Waterfront Hotel here on Sunday.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, and Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.

The event was hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP) and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development (MYSED).

Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, who is also the Minister for both MTCP and MYSED, arrived at 10.30 am to personally greet guests and members of the public, further highlighting his ministry’s active involvement in the event.

The event, which ran from 10 am to 5 pm, was marked by lively performances from local singers and dancers, showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of Sarawak.

The festive spread at the event featured an array of traditional Malay delicacies, with dishes such as sate, kuih muih, ikan asam pedas, rendang, lemang, and ketupat being served to the guests.

The delicious offerings added to the celebratory atmosphere, making the gathering a true reflection of the spirit of Aidilfitri.
