KUCHING: Newly elected 2023–2025 Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) members of Uma Belun Leodian Resettlement in Sungai Asap Belaga are called to carry out their responsibilities with transparency and integrity.
Its community leader Penghulu Saging Bit stressed that the elected committee members should work together, unite, and carry out the tasks given with transparency and kindness.
In a statement today (Jan 23), Saging expressed his hope that the newly elected committee will also continue to work closely with government agencies so that every plan that will be implemented can run smoothly.
Saging has led Uma Belun since the 1980s from Sungai Balui before moving to the Bakun Dam Resettlement Sungai Asap in 1998.
Hence, he hoped that the JKKK members as well as the residents of Uma Belun would continue to maintain their good name through their education or careers.
He said this at the 2023–2025 Uma Belun Leodian JKKK Selection Session at Uma Belun Leodian in Sungai Asap Belaga.
He wished that every problem in the longhouse could be solved well in harmony, and he hoped that the longhouse would remain competitive in whatever activity they took part in.
