KUCHING: Only critical construction and maintenance works at construction sites that have been listed in the movement control order (MCO) standard operating procedures (SOPs) are allowed to operate.
The Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) office in a statement explained that the exceptions are only allowed in view that the works might cause danger or harm to the public and the environment if halted.
“Nonetheless, the contractors are still required to comply with the SOPs issued by the National Security Council (MKN) and as instructed by the State Disaster Management Committee,” it added.
