UNIMAS continued its tradition of recognising outstanding students at MEGAH, presenting 24 awards across seven categories this year, including exclusive awards from the dean. Unlike the previous year, there was a reduction in the number of awards. Judgments aligned with the criteria for the student icon award at the Ministry of Higher Education level. Candidates were evaluated using a scoring rubric. Others involved in the evaluation include Prof Ir Dr Al-Khalid bin Hj Othman, UNIMAS Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs (HEPA), and faculty deans.

Also present were Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, who officiated at the event, as well as Mohd Azhari Afirul Amiruddin, the President of the Student Representative Council for the 2022/2023 session.

Dr Annuar encouraged students to do well in their studies and develop strong leadership skills, emphasising the importance of a balanced approach for overall growth and future success.

UNIMAS is dedicated to creating outstanding leaders and providing platforms for talented students to contribute positively to our nation’s progressive growth. Through these occasions, we celebrate those who have worked hard and achieved success.
