SHAH ALAM: Baituljannah Sdn Bhd co-founder and managing director Dr Wan Hasifi Amin Wan Zaidon, who has been listed in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2020 list under Consumer Technology category, wants to share his knowledge and experience as a digital entrepreneur.

Dr Wan Hasifi Amin, who co-founded Baituljannah, a matchmaking website for Muslims, said he was now ready to accept invitations from any tertiary education institution to share his knowledge with students who have a dream of becoming digital entrepreneurs.

“I hope the knowledge they gained could be used to become digital entrepreneurs and later they could contribute to the economy and create more employment opportunities to help others,” he told Bernama here yesterday.

He also advised those who have a dream of becoming a digital entrepreneur to master financial management and never stop learning the business and marketing strategies.

The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2020 list features 300 young entrepreneurs, leaders and innovators across Asia, all under the age of 30.

On being included in the prestigious list, Dr Wan Hasifi Amin said the process had begun since mid-January when the magazine asked him several questions including on how Baituljannah, which was set up in 2017, could give a positive impact on the society.

Meanwhile, on Baituljannah’s future plan, he said the company wanted to expand its wings to Indonesia and the Middle East.

“The Muslim population in these areas is very large, thus, it has great potential to be explored. For instance, the Middle East comprises 20 countries with a population of about 313 million and about 89 per cent of whom are Muslims.

“Of the total, 180 million or 58 per cent has access to the Internet, which means the market is readily available,” he said.

Currently, the matchmaking platform operates in three countries, namely Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore with approximately 540,000 users, he added. – Bernama
